Wellendorff

One glance makes women's hearts melt: velvety shimmering gold, seductively twinkling diamonds, flattering ornaments and mesmerising enamel. Such incomparable jewellery is made by the German jewellery manufacturer Wellendorff in Pforzheim, and has a long and rich tradition: Founded in 1893, the fourth generation of the family proprietors, currently represented by Georg and Christoph Wellendorff, is in charge of the company's fortunes; a company whose name has come to stand internationally for elegance and timeless glamour. This is mainly due to the Wellendorff rope, the jewellery manufacturer's legendary design. Solid gold becomes fascinatingly soft and supple in a necklace that is craftfully and intricately woven out of golden spirals. The secret behind its tremendous power of seduction is its outstanding craftsmanship: Each individual necklace is crafted by hand. A goldsmith twists tiny spirals out of wafer-thin 18 carat strands of gold and weaves these together, a technique which Wellendorff invented himself.
