2009 Jewelry Extravaganza - Celebrating 30 Years

November 19th, 2009

After the very successful 'White Party' Watch Faire, staged by Rivera and Traditional Jewelers in September, the November 'Black Party' Jewelry Extravaganza, once again drew a large crowd of beautifully dressed guests to join in this second, 30-year anniversary, celebration. Guests walked the 'black stanchion-flanked carpet' into the beautifully decorated Fashion Island store past a large step and repeat wall in anticipation of viewing world class designer jewelry showcased by jewelry houses from all over the world. Two magnificent plant sculptures by VIDA floral adorned the center watch tower, and charming, black-clad servers greeted the guests with fabulous signature cocktails and outstanding gourmet hors d'oeuvres prepared by the chefs of the famed COAST Catering by Barry Lane. Entertainment by DJ Milo added to the animated atmosphere while guests admired world class designs by Rodney Rayner, magnificent diamond jewelry selections by DIVA, Kwiat, Daniel K and JB Star, and eclectic designs by Stephen Webster. David Yurman's new spring collection drew many admirers, and the inspired designs by Spanish designer Carrera Y Carrera dazzled the guests. The introduction of the new Ippolita line drew considerable interest as did the beautiful pearl collections by Mikimoto and Utopia. Toward evening's end Lula Halfacre enthusiastically announced that daughter Natalie has officially re-joined the family business full-time. This has been an exciting year for Traditional Jewelers, and to quote Lula Halfacre "We are blessed with great clients that appreciate quality, service, and integrity. We are especially proud of the next generation at Traditional Jewelers, who will lead us to the future." The beneficiary of a percentage of the evening's proceeds was the 'Miracles for Kids' charity of Orange County, whose mission is the improvement of the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
