An Evening Under the Stars - Canyon Acres Children
October 5th, 2008On October 5th, 2008, I Padrini d'Antonello Restaurant hosted its third annual 'Evening under the Stars', to benefit Canyon Acres Children and Family Services. Over 230 guests attended and enjoyed a fabulous menu prepared by Antonello Executive Chef Franco Barone paired with fine wines. The setting was perfect, and according to tradition one special guest is honored at each of these events. This year, Lula Halfacre was honored with the inaugural 'Shining Star Award', in recognition of individuals and organizations whose spirit of philanthropy is a beacon of hope to those in need, and a shining example to the community. Lula Halfacre and Traditional Jewelers have generously given of their time and finances over the past 10 years to support I Padrini in their endeavor to help children in need in Orange County. Lula's support of the group ranges from donating auction items and opportunity prizes to attending events and making financial contributions. Lula has always been someone I Padrini can count on to support their mission of helping children for which the foundation is 'truly greatful'.
