Hoag Hospital's Cancer Center's 'Circle 1000' 22nd Annual Founders' Brunch
May 7thOn May 7th, 2009 Hoag Hospital's Cancer Center's 'Circle 1000', hosted its twenty-second Annual Founders' Brunch, inviting community members to make an annual gift in support of cancer services. The featured speaker this year was Cokie Roberts who is known as a well-respected senior news analyst and political commentator for ABC News. Having experienced the loss of loved ones to cancer and having had personal experience with breast cancer herself , Ms. Roberts has been an involved advocate for cancer prevention. Traditional Jewelers has been an avid supporter of the 'Circle 1000' foundation for many years, annually awarding the guest speaker with a fine time piece for their valuable contribution to this cause. Traditional Jewelers owner, Lula Halfacre was honored to present Ms. Roberts with a Cartier Ballon Bleu timepiece, to commemorate this auspicious occasion.
