In the Spotlight
Twenty Third Annual Circle 1000 Founders' Brunch
April 28th, 2010At this years' Founders' Brunch, on April 28th, Circle 1000 engaged Ethan Zohn, winner of 'Survivor: Africa', and cancer awareness advocate, as their guest speaker. Zohn was diagnosed in April 2009 with CD20-positive Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a rare form of cancer, and made the decision to become a 'megaphone' for his generation and others, using his diagnosis and awareness of cancer to make a difference in the world. Traditional Jewelers, owner and CFO, Lula Halfacre was honored to present this brave young man with a Baume & Mercier Riviera Chronograph for his touching contribution at the Circle 1000 Founder's Brunch in support of this great cause.
"After being diagnosed with cancer, there were some very dark days going through chemotherapy where I felt as if my body had betrayed me" shared Zohn. "It was then that I dug deep, the values I had learned growing up along with the power of the human spirit everything came into focus, helping me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually get through this battle."
