Wines and Gems Valentine's Celebration
February 12th, 2009The weather held still for a moment, and permitted the staging of a fabulous event at Traditional Jewelers on February 12th. Co-hosted by the Sierra Madre Vineyard who hosted a wine tasting of their prize winning fine Merlot and Chardonnay wines, the event brought together the local community for an early Valentines celebration. Accompanying Doug and Jan Circle, owners of the Sierra Madre Vineyard, was wine maker Steve Rasmussen who along with the owners was delighted to answer countless questions on the makings of a fine wine. The wines were superb and it was no surprise that they were recently awarded gold by the San Francisco Chronicle. Hors d'oeuvres provided by Meyerhoff's Cuisine M, were carefully matched to complement the wines, and the soothing gentle beat of Darvy Traylors music set the atmosphere for this celebratory event. Irene Aviles of Private Trade Winds very generously donated a 5 day trip to the world renowned Four Seasons Resort in Papagayo Costa Rica, including breakfast and two rounds of golf. A percentage of the proceeds of this evening's sales benefitted the highly deserving Free Wheelchair Mission, committed to giving so much hope to those least fortunate.
