Patek Philippe

Patek Philippe

THE LAST INDEPENDENT GENEVA WATCH MANUFACTURER

Patek Philippe has been in continuous operation since 1839.  Founders Antoine Norbert de Patek and Adrienne Philippe were much more than mere craftsmen. They, like all of the early Geneva watchmakers, were driven by an almost fanatical zeal to pursue beauty and perfection for its own sake. This ethic of 'pure' watchmaking was the foundation upon which Patek Philippe was built and continues today.

Throughout its 166-year history, Patek Philippe has been watchmaker to kings, queens, popes, prime ministers, presidents and Nobel Prize-winning scientists and artists. Queen Victoria, Madame Marie Curie and Duke Ellington are some of the names you will find in the Patek Philippe archives, which list all of the watches and their owners from the company's beginning through today.

This example of the company's passion for the watchmaking tradition is just one of the components that helps make Patek Philippe the world's most prestigious watchmaker.
